According to Ratcliff – “a successful intelligence system is therefore one that is able to interpret the criminal environment, convey that intelligence to decision makers, and influence their thinking so that decision makers in turn design creative crime reduction policies that have an impact on criminal environment” (Carter, 2016). This is indicative of the fact that he believed in an intelligence system for the criminal justice field, which will cover every required thing single handedly. On the other hand, according to Phillips, the Intelligence Led policy is beneficial and as the intelligence policies for criminal justice is evolving over the years, there is the need for intelligence led policy that has several potentials.
